Redirects not working at all

4 months ago | kbossons (Member) | |

I upload & activate the plugin, head over to manage > redirects, and no matter what I type into either of the boxes, hit the button, see the little ajax loading graphic, and nothing happens. I have firebug, and here's the exact error I'm seeing:

POST http://pasportspage.com/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/redirection/ajax.php?cmd=add_redirect&id=0412 (813ms)prototype.js (line 866)

and the POST response:

<H1>Precondition Failed</H1>
The precondition on the request for the URL /wordpress/wp-content/plugins/redirection/ajax.php evaluated
to false.<P>

I'm Running the most current version of wordpress (2.5.1) and I disabled all of my plugins before installing. I tried downloading & installing it 3 separate times with the same error. I'm stumped. I would greatly appreciate any help. This plugin looks awesome and (if it worked) is exactly what I need.

My fault - I overlooked the current supported wordpress version: Compatible up to: 2.3.3

okay I did some more testing. I uploaded this plugin to another site on a different server and what do you know? it worked perfectly. Same plugins, same wordpress, etc. I obviously have a server configuration issue.

here is my phpinfo hopefully something jumps out that's causing that I can hopefully do something about.

Thanks!!! I'll see if the fix that's mentioned in your link helps. At least I have an idea of what's wrong now.
