Hits count discrepancy? + Can I empty the log?
1. My Redirections Log is 3 MB! To save on backup downloads, I want to empty that table using PhpMyAdmin. Do you advise against that?
2. Is there a fairly easy way to retain the statistics but delete the logs (so the future log stats are based on the current stats)?
3. Why does the main Redirections page shows 2740 hits while the WordPress Module and the "Redirections" Group show 17761 hits?
(PhpMyAdmin shows ~16721 records in the Redirections Log table.)
4. If I can remove the "extras" while keeping the "real" hits, how?

You can empty the table from phpMyAdmin or from the redirection interface. If you want you can set the plugin up not to create logs. The statistics are stored seperately from the log files.
