Can I redirect a whole domain to a wohle new domain?

2 months ago | prokik (Member) | |

I have the domain www.abcdefg.at. Now I want to transfer the wordpress blog to www.abcdefg.de. Can I configure in the Redirection Plugin a general transfer to the .de domain?

Or must I setup all urls manually like: www.abcdefg.at/muster-beispiel to www.abcdefg.de/hallo/muster-beispiel?

Please help me.

Bye
Prokik

You can use a regular expression to redirect everything. For example /(.*) => http://yournewsite.com/$1

Can this work in nginx? or does it require a special nginx module?

I have the same goals and problems as prokik in planning to redirect to a new domain.

Even manually add redirections for each post as I am changing not only the domain but also making very big changes on the category structure.

Yes, provided you can get permalinks working then this will work in Nginx (it is in use on this site)
