Hello, thanks so much for your Guangzhou WP and BBpress templates. They are great!

I have integrated WP and BBpress and found out how to make the colors the same on both. I have also found out how to put nav tabs on the WP side of things (pretty easy with Guangzhou). I have noticed though, on this website you have navigation tabs at the top of the forum page (your bbpress page). Will you please explain how to do this?

I am absolute new to WP, so please don't call me kinda stupid if my questions seems funny to you.
I have problems adding menus to the blog.
Here http://urbangiraffe.com/themes/guangzhou/ I found I need to create a new category for each of the menus on the Links/Link Categories page.
I created 3 categories (Main menu, Top menu, Bottom menu). A category Blogroll was already there.
My problem now is how to add items to the categories. Under Links I can only add external links it seems.
But I want internal links in my menu, like you have (i.e. Articles). What is the menu good for if only external links can be shown there?
Also in the dropdown field for each Menu type in Guangzhou Options I only have Blogroll to select, and not the other link categories I have created.
Would be nice you could help, even if I'm (still) a WP dummy.

Ole

I'm using the Guangzhou theme at my site: http://billbennett.co.nz and have come up against a couple of, well, they're not problems, bugs or errors. Just things I'd like to do differently.

The first is I'd like to change the way the date appears on the index page. Rather than display say, August 30, 2009 I'd like the date to display as August 30. But I'd like the date to appear in full on other pages and posts.

I've looked at the php code, but can't figure out if what I want to do is possible.

Hello,

After much poundering (I tried Leopress-FR, Librio, Slidings Doors, Sandbox, Carrington/Blog and Carrington/JAM), I finally installed Guangzhou. I like its sleek appearance.

I have some questions, though:

You’ve been using it in production for one year now and it is still 0.2.4. Why so? Are you unsattisfied with it or do you plan to add much more features?

According to a typographic rule, a line should be around 60 signs long. I changed the width of the main box accordingly (
700px
, but I find more confortable now with a bit more, like
750px
ou
800px
), but then I discovered Guangzhou is fixed-width, and so there is an ugly empty space right in the middle - plus the fact that it reuires a certain screen size. I would suggest you turn to fluid/liquid/elastic with a min-width on the site and a max-with on the “Page width” options.

Does your theme support the following features?

Translation-ready

RTL-ready

inline widget (below the post)

print css

handheld css

I would have much more uestions, but that will be enough for this time!

Have a nice day,

David

Hi,

I just installed your theme in both wordpress and bbPress. I am able to change skins in wordpress, but I don't see any theme options in bbPress. Is there a way to change the skin in bbPress? Thanks!

I'm sorry to be the first to post here, but I have had problems installing this theme. I'm trying to install it locally on a test set up and I get this error message in preview :

Fatal error: Call to undefined function automatic_feed_links() in K:xampphtdocswp_testsitewp-contentthemesguangzhoufunctions.php on line 28

not only is it impossible to install the theme, but for some reason it persists. When I try to quit the themes page I get the same message and a white screen.

It may be something to do with plugins I have installed, but I have no idea what to look for.

It's a pity because it seems a very interesting theme
